Applications Engineer
Arbeitsort: York PA (US)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Timely preparation of budgetary and firm proposals, including but not limited to: Quote description, price estimation and support drawings, layouts and time studies, and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams
Provide technical sales support to the Global Sales team
Develop and maintain relationships with Regional Sales Engineers and local representatives on a global basis
Assist Regional Sales Engineers with sales calls if needed; arrange and hold kick-off meetings
Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers in the preparation of project change orders
Provide Applications Engineering support and maintain a working knowledge of all active projects
Other duties as needed
Related Experience/Education:
BSME or significant related experience
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in engineering or equipment design of automation machinery
Experience in bidding/propsal preparation and the ability to read and understand bid/proposal specification, both from a technical perspective and commercial perspective
Project Management experience a plus
Robotics experience not required but beneficial
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint). A CAD system is expected, and Corel Draw is an advantage
An independent worker who is self-motivated, and a team player
Solid communications skills (both written and verbal) are a must; experience working with people from foreign countries will be an asset
Abillity to travel domestically and internationally is required
Other language skills a plus
